Messages
Talk with providers about your requests, and with your event planner if you have one, all from a single page.

Goal
Messages gathers all your conversations. Each booking request sent to a provider has its own thread, linked to the event and task it concerns. If an event planner is organizing an event for you and has opened a follow-up space for you, you also have a thread with them, shown as Your event planner.
Steps
- Open Messages in the menu. The badge next to it counts the conversations holding unread messages.
- On the left, the list of threads: unread ones first, then the most recent. Each thread shows the name of the person you're talking to, the event and task concerned, the last message (starting with "You:" if you sent it) and the number of unread messages. From five conversations on, a search field lets you filter by name or event.
- Click a thread to open it. The message attached to the request is shown at the top; Show older messages goes further back in the history. On mobile, the thread opens full screen and Back to conversations returns to the list.
- Type in the Your message… field, then send with the Enter key or Send message (Shift + Enter adds a new line). Read appears under your messages once they have been read.
- In a request thread, View the request opens the Requests page on that request's details: quote, history, cancellation.
- To write to your event planner for the first time, open the event they are organizing for you and click Message my event planner: the thread then shows up here. In that thread, My followed events opens the list of events they are preparing for you.
Frequently asked questions
How do I start a conversation with a provider? A conversation is tied to a booking request: first send a request from a task (Organize the task, "A platform provider"). You can also talk without leaving the task, through Conversation in its menu, or from the Requests page.
Why can't I write in a thread anymore? When a request is declined or cancelled, its conversation stays readable but becomes read-only.
The thread with my event planner is gone. It is only visible while your account is linked to their client space. If your event planner removed your access, get in touch with them so they can invite you again.
Can the other person see my email address? No: messaging shows the other person's name, never their email address, and the same goes for yours.
